On Monday, November 30, 2020 at 09:30 AM, the Municipality of Clarington is hosting a public meeting in accordance with section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, as amended, to present and obtain public input on the Municipality’s proposed development charge (D.C.) by-law and underlying background study.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we invite all interested parties to attend this Public Meeting electronically. If you wish to make representation relating to the proposed D.C. by-law and background study, please pre-register, and you will be provided with further instructions. Copies of the 2020 Development Charges Background Study and the proposed development charges by-law are available online or by contact Financial Services.
Anyone can participate in the public meeting and make a written or verbal presentation to support or oppose the by-law. Please direct written submissions to the Municipal Clerk no later than Friday, November 27, 2020. Written comments and submissions made at the public meeting will be considered by Council before the enactment of a new development charges by-law.
